* Definitions of Accredited and Registered Status and Eligibility to Write CARDUP Exams
Accredited      To become CMA accredited, a program must demonstrate its compliance with the five requirements for accreditation. The five requirements include 30 criteria, 10 of which are critical and considered essential to produce the required program outcome.

Programs may be accredited for 6 years (fully accredited) or 2 years (partial accreditation).  If a new program does not yet have graduates, the best it can obtain is a 2-year accreditation status.

Registered      An unaccredited program which has registered for accreditation and either a visit by the CMA has been tentatively scheduled pending a successful Phase I review or the assessment is underway

For a more detailed description of the current status of CMA Accredited and Registered programs, see
http://www.cma.ca/index.php?ci_id=50595&la_id=1

Eligibility to Write CARDUP Exams
Only graduates of educational programs that are CMA Accredited at the time of their graduation will be permitted to follow the ““Category A” Graduate of a CMA Accredited Program” pathway for CARDUP certification.  This condition applies to all students entering educational programs on or after January 1, 2013.

Disclaimer
The above list of CMA Accredited and Registered programs is current as of November 30, 2012. CARDUP and CSDMS do not endorse or recommend any program.
